4th of July at Litchfield

I cant even tell y'all how much fun we had at the beach for the week of the 4th! I would really like to make it a tradition and go back that same week every year. It really was the perfect way to spend the holiday. The Litchfield/Pawleys Island area has a parade that runs right down the main road, which happened to be right in front of our condo. All of the bikes and golf carts participating in the parade throw the kids beads and candy. Anderson seemed to really like it. They also have a fly-over in the afternoon that people take very seriously! There were multiple groups on the beach with HUGE American flags out during the fly-over. It was a really cool experience. Then, at night, there are more fireworks than you can imagine going off all along the beach - even really big/professional size. You have all kinds of things to do and never have to get in your car.

Anderson absolutely loved the beach. She is definitely a water baby. She has NO FEAR of the pool or ocean. There were a couple of times when I was watching her sit in the surf and all of the sudden a big wave would come out of no where and she would go totally under. I would freak out and jerk her up and she would laugh about it. You also have to really watch her in the pool because I don't think she's actually figured out that she can't swim yet. She will just jump in and again, laugh about it.

We went with our friends, Annelise and Matthew. They have a little girl about 11 months older than Anderson. I think Anderson really enjoyed having someone to play with. Later in the week, our other couple friends, Alex(Annelise's twin sister) and Thomas came down as well. We had the best time! Anderson still, even three weeks later, is talking about the beach.
